I was invited to dinner by a lovely couple I have met through yoga - and discovered shortly after arriving it was the husband's birthday the next day. Part of me secretly was relieved I hadn't known, as I had had a busy few days and when you are pushed for time to come up with an idea it rarely comes! But the next morning as I sat quietly with my coffee the perfect card for him came into my head and so I created it in time to take it round before his special day ended!
If you are a member of Cardmaking Paradise we have a new swap starting, a Pop Up Pot swap! Click here for details. It will be a lovely one to join in with.
I have discovered a great recipe for oatmeal and raisin cookies! Click here if you would like to see it. I whacked in a bit more cinnamon, and lots more raisins - and found they needed just a couple of minutes longer than stated to cook - but when I took them to a little get together on Friday everyone loved them, which is why I thought I'd share the recipe with you! The first time I made them was with Nicole when she was visiting. I hadn't got the butter out long before we started making them, so she was stood trying to mix it with a wooden spoon and turning red with effort as she did so! As she struggled with the mixing, I stood and read out the recipe, "Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer . .. . . Oh a stand mixer - I've got one of those!" I declared excitedly! Nicole's face lit up with relief, and then she realised - she was standing and mixing!!!
Have a good week!
Love and smiles,
