I'm steaming back into crafty mode - I have drawn up a list of projects for the year, and can't wait to get started. Here's the first one;
The above example was made by Lainey, our new Design Team member. She has already blown us away with her beautiful work, and she has some great ideas. You can find the Watering Can project here.
It's been a funny week here in the Sandberg household. Holly has a reading week, so she came back from uni for our family visit to the Dentist - I feel like the Von Trappe family with us all traipsing up the stairs and going in one by one. One of the kids always ALWAYS comes in while I am lying there with my mouth wide open and a dentist nearly falling inside! I try and make my leg longer so I can push them back out of the door but it never works! When they were little Nicole used to walk round the room pressing any buttons she came across and picking up things asking "what's this" - the dentist and I were always nervous wrecks by the time my teeth had been checked!
Anyway, back to our household, where everything seems to be breaking. I know people say things happen in threes, and I steadfastly don't agree with that, as I am sure if you strongly believe this, then before you know it you have three things broken. Now I wish I had believed in this, as we have passed three, and are moving higher and higher! On Wednesday the dishwasher broke - and Holly promptly bought her return ticket to uni!!! By the time I realised it was broken (I kept thinking "I'm sure I put the dishwasher on" putting another tablet in and starting it - it took 3 goes before my brain actually clicked that I WAS putting it on, it wasn't working!) there were dishes piled sky high!
The dishwasher doctor came and declared my dishwasher is well and truly deceased. He showed me all the gunky pipes at the back of it, and asked "Do you rinse your plates before putting them in?"
"It's a dishwasher!" I told him!! Silly man, the clue is clearly in the name!
"Yes, it's a dishwasher, not a waste disposal unit!" He replied!
I was on the internet googling dishwashers as he wrote his bill and am now counting the 5 working days down until it is delivered. Flo in Australia gave me a lovely tea towel, and I think of her every day as I use it - so there are positives in every situation!
Today when I opened my laptop I found the screen is flickering and a blue tinge is covering everything. As it's not that old, it will have to go to back to PC world this afternoon - hopefully it will be quick to fix!
So that's the internet router, freezer, salt machine, dishwasher and now my laptop - and it's only 15th Jan!!! Fortunately there's not a lot left that can go wrong!
Have a lovely week! I hope your year is going well!
Smiles,
