We have been altering bottle caps on the forum for a swap (I'll show you those next week!). I was determined to find a way to flatten them in the Cuttlebug, and it didn't take long at all!
The bottle caps I have used are those you buy for home brewing. They come in bags of 50 for a couple of pounds. I bought mine from E-Bay - they were £1.50 for 100! I have tried this method of flattening with saved beer caps from Jesper's beer, but it doesn't work - you need the home brewing kind! However, I have managed to flatten the saved caps with a mallet, which you can see details of in Issue 1 of the www.timeforcrafting.co.uk E-Mag.
Here's the video - if you prefer photos you can see those below.
First place your bottle caps flat side down on the thick white A mat.
Place a Cuttlebug die metal side down on top of them.
Place your clear B mat on top, and put it through the Cuttlebug.
I made mine into cool business cards!
I used a silver Krylon pen on the outside. I printed my logo in a small size, then punched them out with a 1" circle punch.
I glued this to the bottom of the cap,
then covered it with glossy accents,
then sprinkled some fine glitter gently over it.

woow..great idee but i dont have cuttlebug :(

Maybe try heat setting the ink first with a heat gun - or put embossing powder over so that any wet ink gets covered with that. If stamping, use something like Stazon which won't run.

This is so awesome I tried it last night but for some reason when I applied the glossy ascents the ink from my paper ran and now it’s all blurry.. What paper did you use and did you use anything to stop it from doing this?

Glossy Accents is made by Ranger, see here http://www.rangerink.com/products/prod_inkssentials_glossy.htm - Stampin' Up! also do a similar product, and there is also Diamond Glaze that works as well. I hope this helps. :)

Could you please tell me what type of sealant you use on the top of the bottlecap? I see it says cover with glossy accents but I am wondering if that is the name of the sealant because I am not finding that here in the states. THANKS!
